Labouchere System

Also known as the cancellation system, the Labouchere system is a strategy that requires organization and method. To apply this system, it is recommended to use pen and paper to record a line of numbers.

System Principle

The system involves using a line of numbers, which can be as long as you like. Each bet will be equal to the sum of the first and last numbers in the line. You place this amount on the color of your choice (red or black) and stick to the same color for all bets.

For example:

Initial line: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

Bet: 1 + 5 = 6 units

After each spin of the roulette:

• If you win, cross out the first and last numbers of the line. The new line would be: 2, 3, 4.
• If you lose, add the amount lost to the end of the line. The new line would be: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.

The goal is to continue this process until the entire line is crossed out and you realize you’ve made a profit.

Advantages and Warnings

Advantages:

• It's a system that allows you to keep a clear record of your bets.
• If you lose, you only add one number, but when you win, you cross off two. This can help you clear the line quickly.

Warnings:

• In the case of prolonged losing streaks, the line can become too long, increasing risk.
• It’s important to remember that this system does not guarantee profits, since roulette also includes a zero.
