The D'Alembert system is a simple and popular betting strategy for roulette, especially on color bets (red or black). It offers a less aggressive approach compared to the Martingale system.

System Principle

The strategy involves adjusting the bet based on previous outcomes:

• Start by betting 1 chip on your preferred color.
• If you lose, increase your next bet by 1 chip.
• If you win, decrease your next bet by 1 chip.

This means that when you win, you achieve a higher profit relative to the amount wagered, while losses remain relatively smaller.

Example

Suppose you start with 1 chip:

• First bet: 1 chip. You lose.
• Second bet: 2 chips. You lose again.
• Third bet: 3 chips. You win.
• Fourth bet: 2 chips. You win again.
• Fifth bet: 1 chip. You win and finish the series.

In case of a win, the series ends and you start again with 1 chip.
