ROULETTE STRATEGIES & BETTING SYSTEMS TO MANAGE YOUR BANKROLL: Corner Defense
Discover the most popular roulette strategies and the most effective betting systems to manage your bankroll and maximize your chances of winning.
CORNER DEFENSE
Corner Defense System
The Corner Defense is a strategy based on balanced table coverage. Unlike other methods that aim for big wins by betting on single numbers, this system sacrifices high payouts in favor of more frequent wins. The idea is to bet on corners (four numbers per chip) and areas surrounding a target number, thus reducing risk and increasing coverage.
This system is ideal for players who prefer a more stable progression and lower variation in losses and gains.
Example 1: Corner Defense with 5 Chips
Bet on a specific number (e.g., 26) and its four adjacent corners. This covers a total of 9 numbers.
- If 22, 24, 28, or 30 comes up: → Profit of 4 chips
- If 23, 25, 27, or 29 comes up: → Profit of 13 chips
- If 26 comes up: → Profit of 67 chips
Example 2: Corner Defense with 9 Chips
Bet on number 26, its corners, and the 4 side numbers surrounding it — increasing coverage while keeping the same target.
- If 22, 24, 28, or 30 comes up: → No profit (partial recovery)
- If 23, 25, 27, or 29 comes up: → Profit of 27 chips
- If 26 comes up: → Profit of 135 chips
Example 3: Corner Defense with 10 Chips
Bet on two nearby numbers (e.g., 20 and 26) and their adjacent corners. This setup covers up to 15 numbers.
- If 16, 18, 28, or 30 comes up: → Loss of 1 chip
- If 17, 19, 21, 22, 24, 25, 27, or 29 comes up: → Profit of 6 chips
- If 23 comes up: → Profit of 26 chips
- If 20 or 26 comes up: → Profit of 67 chips
Example 4: Split Defense with 10 Chips
This structure is similar to the previous example but distributes chips to cover 18 numbers (almost half the table). It’s a more balanced version with lower gains but also lower risk.
- If 16, 18, 22, 24, 25, 27, 31, or 33 comes up: → Loss of 1 chip
- If 17, 19, 21, 23, 26, 28, 30, or 32 comes up: → Profit of 6 chips
- If 20 or 29 comes up: → Profit of 67 chips
Final Considerations
The Corner Defense is a solid strategy to cover large areas of the board with moderate investment. It’s ideal for players who prefer a more stable game with lower volatility.
It is essential to maintain a consistent proportion when increasing your bets. If you choose to raise the number of chips, distribute them proportionally to your previous bet. Breaking that proportion may destabilize the system.
As always, it's recommended to practice without real money to get familiar with chip placement and outcome behavior. Additionally, this strategy can be combined with other systems to create more personalized methods.
